Curriculum
Pupils in Lisburn Central Primary School learn through the N.I. curriculum which has the Areas of Learning as follows:

- The World Around Us
- The Arts
- Physical Education
- Personal Development and Mutual Understanding
- Religious Education
Within these areas of learning we, in Lisburn Central Primary School have a responsibility to provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all children and we aim to give every child the opportunity to experience success in learning and to achieve as high a standard as possible.
At the heart of the curriculum lies an explicit emphasis on the development of skills and capabilities for lifelong learning and operating effectively in society. We believe children learn best when learning is interactive, practical and enjoyable. Our teachers use a variety of teaching methods, balancing whole class, group and individual activities to engage children in effective learning.
